How to Steam Gyoza for a Soft & Juicy Bite

Steamed gyoza highlights the delicate wrapper and savory filling. This method is light, tender, and full of flavor.

What You’ll Need:

  • Tsakua Gyoza (frozen)

  • Steamer basket (bamboo or metal)

  • Parchment paper or cabbage leaves

Step 1: Prepare the Steamer

Bring water to a gentle boil in a pot. Line your steamer basket with parchment paper (poke small holes) or cabbage leaves to prevent sticking.

Step 2: Arrange the Gyoza

Place frozen gyoza in the basket with space between each piece.

Step 3: Steam

Cover and steam for 8–10 minutes.

That’s it. No oil needed.

Steamed gyoza pairs beautifully with ponzu sauce or a light soy dipping sauce. Each bite stays tender, juicy, and comforting — just like home.
